I've stuck a penny in the bolt slit and cranked it with pliers and the thing didn't budge in either direction. The stock Epi bridge/tailpiece that came on Betty was poor - a simple and cheap Gotoh upgrade offered more stability, took away buzz that the moving Epi saddles had, more intonation adjustment, more weight (which I personally like), just a far better piece of metal in both design and machining. $25 for the Gotoh bridge.
